Januar 2016:  Thai Elephant Conservation Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Das Thai Elephant Conservation Center liegt sozusagen am Weg nach Chiang Mai und schon seit Wochen haben wir den Kindern das Elefantenreiten versprochen&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Auf dem riesigen Gel\u00e4nde des Zentrums, das sich dem Schutz und Erhalt der asiatischen Elefanten verschrieben hat, gibts neben den touristischen Einrichtungen wie Elefantenreiten und Elefantenshows auch ein Elfantenspital, einen Elefantenfriedhof, eine Zuchtstation, eine Elefantendungpapierfabrik und ein Mahout- Trainingscenter, wo die Elefantenf\u00fchrer ausgebildet werden. Die Elefanten werden in einer f\u00fcnfj\u00e4hrigen Ausbildung als Arbeitselefanten f\u00fcr die Waldarbeit ausgebildet.<\/p>\n<p>Sogar einen Campingplatz gibts hier. In der N\u00e4he suchen sich die Elefanten im Dickicht ihr Futter, es ist eindr\u00fccklich, die Dickh\u00e4uter so nah zu erleben, ohne Zaun und Graben dazwischen. Trotzdem sich wir froh,nachts\u00a0 eine feste Behausung um uns zu haben \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>Die Nacht war herrlich k\u00fchl! Doch kaum ist die Sonne da, wirds wieder heiss&#8230;!<\/p>\n<p>Die Jungs f\u00fchlen sich unter all den Elefanten wie im Paradies! Nils m\u00f6chte gar nicht mehr weg! Wir machen einen st\u00fcndigen Austritt auf den Dickh\u00e4utern durch den Dschungel . Es ist erstaunlich, auf welch schmalen Wegen diese Kolosse von Tieren gehen k\u00f6nnen! An einer Stelle waten wir gar durchs Wasser. Oben im Sattel schwankt es ganz sch\u00f6n!<\/p>\n<p>Bei der Show wird das K\u00f6nnen der Arbeitselefanten gezeigt: Baumst\u00e4mme ziehen (dabei k\u00f6nnen sie ein Gewicht von der H\u00e4lfte ihres eigenen K\u00f6rpergewichts tragen!) und mit R\u00fcssel und Stossz\u00e4hnen hochheben, St\u00e4mme stapeln&#8230; Dabei folgen die Elefanten ihren Mahouts aufs Wort!<\/p>\n<p>Einige zeichnen mit ihren R\u00fcsseln Gem\u00e4lde auf eine Leinwand wie Blumen, Landschaften, Elefanten. Wahre Kunstwerke!<\/p>\n<p>Und nat\u00fcrlich k\u00f6nnen die Tiere \u00fcberall getreichelt, angefasst und gef\u00fcttert werden.
