November 2015: Phimai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wir fahren fr\u00fchmorgens, solange die Temperaturen noch einigermassen ertr\u00e4glich sind. Wir- oder die Kinder- sind sowieso meist wach, sobald es hell wird- daf\u00fcr gehen wir abends fr\u00fch ins Bett, um 18:00 ist es ja schon dunkel\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Angekommen in Thailand haben wir fast einen kleinen Kulturschock erlitten: riesige Einkaufszentren, L\u00e4den \u00e0 la IKEA, und OBI, riesige Baum\u00e4rkte, gigantische Reklametafeln entlang den Schnellstrassen und Tankstellen mit Mc Donalds, KFC etc. Sowieso wirkt f\u00fcr uns, aus dem laotischen Dschungel her kommend, alles sehr modern und vieles erinnert uns an Amerika. Manchmal hat man das Gef\u00fchl, auf Floridas oder Californiens Strassen unterwegs zu sein\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Wir kommen gut voran, mittags sind wir bereits in Phimai, wo wir nach einem Mittagessen in einem Thairesti, wo es nur zwei Men\u00fcs gab, die Ruinen der alten Khmer- Tempel besichtigen. Die Tempel erinnern stark an Angkor Wat in Kambodscha, nur viel kleiner und weniger touristisch. Die Jungs kraxeln umher auf der Suche nach einem Geheimgang und sind ganz fasziniert von den alten Mauern\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Wir fahren noch ein St\u00fcck weiter und erreichen kurz vor Einbruch der Dunkelheit einen Stausee, wo wir zwischen den einfachen Behausungen der Fischer unser Nachtlager aufschlagen.
